Are you an experienced HR professional looking for your next opportunity? If so we’d love to hear from you!
We are on the lookout for an experienced HR professional to join us as our Head of Human Resources. You will report to our Managing Director.
Seekers and First-Rate Maintenance are sister companies delivering their respective services across the North East. First-Rate Maintenance was formed in 2020 to overcome a lot of the frustrations that Seekers were encountering as a managing agent of residential property. The business is now well established and in a period of sustained and rapid growth. We have recently moved to bigger and more suitable premises that can accommodate our ambitions.
We are property people who view things differently. If this sounds like you and you’d like to be part of our future, then please read on.
There are 59 full time positions across both businesses, and a part time team that ranges between 10 and 20 people depending on the time of year.
The Head of HR will have responsibilities for the combined workforce and will need to spend at least one day per week in each of Seekers’ city centre office and First-Rate Maintenance’s premises in North Shields. There will also be at least one day per week working from home. Being a dynamic and flexible individual for this hybrid working arrangement will be vitally important.
Whilst there are a lot of synergies between the two organisations, there are significant differences in the way they operate. To be successful in this role you will need to be an adept communicator with a diverse range of stakeholders across all levels of an organisation.
From the very outset we will be looking for you to lead the digital transformation of our HR processes and procedures to bring them in line with the digital-forward approach of the rest of the business, where such transformation has already taken place.
As well as having a strong skillset around the core Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word), the ideal candidate will be confident working with the full spectrum of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including SharePoint.
We reward and value our staff for their hard work and dedication, and whilst we do work hard, we sure know how to enjoy ourselves too!
As well as a competitive salary of £40,000, we offer a range of other benefits including 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays), bonus schemes, staff socials and the opportunity to join an excellent pension scheme. We may consider a 30 hour per week arrangement with a pro rata salary.
