The business is one of the leading independent estate agents in Newcastle, with particular strength and an unrivalled market share in lettings, and is a regional leader in selling residential properties throughout the North East.
Now, Newcastle-based Walton Robinson has revealed a sizeable investment in technology - which has seen it pioneer the e-management and signing of documents in the region, enabling a quicker and simpler paperless process - as well as adding key people and apprentices to its team to help fuel its growth.
Renowned residential property expert James Angus has joined Walton Robinson, in what is seen as a highly significant appointment for the firm, and its commitment to apprentices is continuing with plans to add up to six more to its 40-strong workforce over the coming months.
Two apprentices joined the business last year, and five former apprentices now hold full-time positions within the business.
As well as its strength in the residential market - with recent highlights including the successful letting of the 57 apartments in Newcastle's iconic Bruce Building, which also houses Walton Robinson's own headquarters - the business is also renowned as an investment specialist and works with developers across the UK.
Walton Robinson recently revealed plans to achieve £2m turnover within two years, and the business believes continued investment in both its team and technology will position it well to achieve that.
Mark Walton, managing director of Walton Robinson - who runs the firm with fellow directors Richard Ponton and Jaimie Lawton - said:
"We have grown significantly across all areas of the business in recent months and continue to invest in the business so that we can offer an unrivalled service, both as a place to do business for our customers, and a place for our staff to work.
"Our investment in technology is something we believe really sets us apart, and is a key reason for our strong levels of growth across the region. From our single regional office we are successfully operating across the whole of the North East. The fact we have such a strong and highly efficient online offering and paperless operation allows us to effectively engage with customers across the region and beyond, and ensures they have the quickest and simplest service possible.
"Furthermore, the addition of James Angus to our team is something we are very pleased to announce. James is a very well-known and highly-respected name in the North East property market, and him joining Walton Robinson is a real testament to our quality and ambition here. We are a very dynamic and forward-thinking business, and will continue to innovate and make bold moves to ensure we remain as leaders in our field."
