Luckily, Seekers has plenty of different types of accommodation in locations across the city for those studying at Newcastle or Northumbria University.
Seekers has many different types of Newcastle student accommodation to choose from. These include:
Houses
Flats
Studios
Maisonettes
Townhouses
Purpose built student blocks
House shares
Here at Seekers, our wide variety of property types means that we can cater to a wide range of student needs and requirements, whether you are looking for an accessible flat or studio, or a large house share for you and a group of friends from your degree course.
With a variety of student properties in different locations across the city to choose from, including popular student locations Jesmond, Heaton, Sandyford, Newcastle City Centre, the Quayside and more, no matter what you’re looking for, you’re bound to find it with Seekers.
When searching for dual occupancy student accommodation in Newcastle, it’s important for students to discuss with their group what type of property everyone would prefer.
This will give you the chance to find out if everyone is on the same page when it comes to the property. You’ll also be able to discuss the different benefits of living in certain types of properties in certain areas.
For example, student houses in Jesmond and Sandyford will often have outside space which is good for storing bikes. Alongside this, these properties tend to be much larger than flats, which is an advantage when you require more space or plan on having more social gatherings.
If security is the main issue then you may prefer to live in a purpose-built student accommodation block, with some purpose-built accommodation offering secure door entry systems to access the building, plus further security to access your flat.
Other questions to ask yourselves include, do you need off-street parking? Would you prefer to live in a purpose-built student accommodation block, or in a house share in the heart of one of Newcastle’s student hotspots? The list goes on!
If you need a helping hand when it comes to these things, you can always get in touch with our friendly team by dropping us an email, submit an online enquiry, give us a call or pop into our offices just a few minutes walk from Northumbria and Newcastle University campuses for a chat.
Seekers has a range of one-bedroom flats and studios available too. These are perfect if you’re wanting your own space to study or look after your own wellbeing in a space that is solely your own.
One-bedroom flats are generally more expensive than living in a group. This is because you’ll be benefiting from your own private bathroom and living accommodation, which would usually be shared in larger properties.
We often have couples living in our one-bedroom flats too. This is a great way to keep costs down as the rent and bills can be split between two people.
You may move to Newcastle at the last minute or midterm, or you may be a smaller group looking to be part of a larger house share, which is something the Seekers team can help you to do.
If this is the case, you may want to move into an existing Newcastle student property with tenants, which we could assist you with, alternatively we could show you some house share options for the next academic year.
This is a great way to meet new people and also keep costs down, as house shares are cheaper than renting a one bedroom flat, with bills split between more people.
All of our available Newcastle student accommodation house shares will be shown on our view properties page. This is regularly updated when rooms or properties become available.
There are many options to consider when looking for the perfect student accommodation.
If you’re unsure or have some questions, get in touch. One of our team will happily go through the different choices available, and help you to determine which type of property is best for you or your group.
